A Few Words About Me

Melissa Stivale is the voice behind the lifestyle blog, ‘The Midnight Edit’.

Based in New Jersey, she’s just your average woman with a slightly above average addiction to shopping and passion for writing about it. Melissa graduated Marist College with a BA in Communications and Journalism but always had a love for fashion and social media. Now, working full time as a copywriter for a luxury fashion e-retailer, she spends so much of her time researching trends, influencers and runways that the industry has pretty much become engrained into her everyday life. Melissa is in her late 20s, petite (5’2 for reference) and has an ever evolving personal style that ranges from edgy and contemporary to a little more feminine and refined, depending on the occasion and her mood. Expensive taste may be part of her DNA, but Melissa has an impeccable ability to uncover all the best dupes and sales, which she plans to share with you all because contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to break the bank to look your best.

A Few Words About Us

Melissa created The Midnight Edit to speak to women like her, who have a desire to look stylish and put-together, but either don’t have the funds or just find it unnecessary to dress in head-to-toe designer labels.

From reading the blog and following along on social media, you’ll discover fresh, real-life looks that work for the weekend, the workweek and even some special occasions. She created this blog knowing that many influencers use their platform to promote a perfect persona/ image but she fully intends to use this particular site to inspire others’ creativity and explore her own. Melissa’s ultimate goal is to offer relatable content in a safe and fun space, whether she’s talking about style or more personal topics. She is always open to your suggestions on topics and can’t wait to hear your feedback.
